Settings overview

Choose Settings at the lower left of the main window. Search matches page titles and setting names.

Save or discard settings changes

Many controls edit a Settings draft first. Look for Unsaved changes and the Save button; a changed switch or a live appearance preview does not by itself prove the preference was saved.

1. Make the intended change and check the displayed value.
2. Click Save at the bottom. Wait for the pending-change indicator to clear. If saving fails, keep the error and check the value before retrying.
3. Reopen the relevant page and confirm the saved setting. Switching Settings pages does not itself save the shared draft.
4. To discard pending edits, choose Back to app. In the close-without-saving confirmation, cancel to keep editing or confirm to leave and discard. This applies to pending changes across Settings pages, not only the page currently visible.

Some actions bypass the shared draft. Changing General → Language, turning a model on/off under 0G Compute, and changing 0G sync or Sync data are immediate. Connection tests, exports/imports, uploads/pulls, key rotations, and review decisions also execute separately; discarding Settings changes cannot undo those actions. Read the relevant guide before using an action that changes credentials, sends data, or spends funds.

For Data specifically, Self-improvement and Skill Learning Suggestions require Save, while the sync controls above them save immediately. See learning controls and backup and sync.

For Voice, input, recognition language, voice and reply mode require Save. Preview voice immediately uses the selected draft voice for an online sample; Retry reloads the list without saving. See Voice settings and previews.

Understand the scope before changing it

• Appearance and connectivity: UI, Network, Voice, and Computer Use settings. Complete any required Save step; a live preview or successful connection test is not proof of persistence.
• New requests or conversations: default Tool / Skill selection and generation preferences.
• Stored or transmitted data: Memory, Activity Recorder, Channels, Web Search, telemetry, and Data Sync.
• Funds or irreversible records: 0G Compute top-ups, auto top-up, credit redemption, 0G Storage upload, and key rotation.
• Irrecoverable deletion: Memory Clear all, Activity cleanup, import overwrites, and conversation or group deletion.

Before a high-risk change, record the old value, account or wallet, and target environment. Verify with the smallest read-only task afterward. A saved setting is not proof that a connection, permission, credit, or external write completed.
